Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker
Express Entry Skilled Worker allows the province to nominate candidates for Newfoundland & Labrador Immigration. The nominated skilled workers with job offer through the Federal Express entry system can apply for immigration because they have skills, ability and work experience, which is important for Express Entry. If NLPNP nominates a candidate, then they will get more points from the Comprehensive Ranking System. They will also receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence. The processing time of Express Entry Application will be six months or less. Due to the incomplete application, the processing time will be more.
Skilled Worker Category
If you have a valid job offer from Newfoundland and Labrador, then NBPNP will accept your application. If you are currently doing a job in the province on a valid work permit, then you are also eligible for this category. A candidate will receive additional points from the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) because of the nomination by Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP).
International Graduate Category
It is for the individuals who have completed graduation newly from an eligible post-secondary institution and who have a post-graduation work permit. As well, candidates must have either a job or job offer from the employer in Newfoundland and Labrador that concerns to their field of study. A candidate needs to demonstrate the skills, ability and must have the training to perform the intended job in Canada.
International Entrepreneur Category
This category is for the nationals who have experience possessing and running businesses and who want to spend in managing a business in Newfoundland & Labrador. To apply under this stream, candidates must have experience in business management and considerable personal net worth.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
This category is targeted to those foreign nationals who have graduated at least two years of a post-secondary program in Newfoundland & Labrador and who have a minimum of one year of experience possessing and running a business in the province.
Priority Skills
This stream is for the well educated and skilled nationals who have experience in any of the in-demand sectors in Newfoundland & Labrador. It will be launching in January 2021.
